Nominations please for the 2025 MSEA-SEIU Lifetime Achievement Award

MSEA-SEIU Retirees Steering Committee Co-Chair Ginette Rivard, at right, and MSEA-SEIU President Mark Brunton, at left, present our 2024 MSEA-SEIU Lifetime Achievement Award to MSEA-SEIU Retiree Member and MSEA-SEIU Retirees Steering Committee Co-Chair Penny Whitney-Asdourian.

We’re accepting nominations through 5pm Sept. 26, 2025, for our 2025 MSEA-SEIU Lifetime Achievement Award. The members of the MSEA-SEIU Retirees Steering Committee plan to present the award at our 2025 Annual Meeting.

The MSEA-SEIU Lifetime Achievement Award is for retiree members. Anyone can nominate a retiree member for it. Use our online nomination form to nominate a retiree whom you think might be deserving of this award. These factors, in no particular order, will be considered in selecting the award recipients:

  1. Living Person;
  2. Active in being a leader;
  3. During their work years, showed leadership in support of working families and retirees;
  4. Advocates for MSEA-SEIU retirees through the political process;
  5. Promotes spirit of retirees;
  6. Supports the MSEA-SEIU retiree agenda;

Completed nominations should address some of the criteria above as we don’t know what all retirees have done to contribute. Once the deadline has passed, a subcommittee will look over the nominations, score them and select a recipient. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26. Anyone who would like to resubmit a prior nomination can do so by the stated deadline.

If you prefer to print out the nomination form and U.S.-mail in your nomination, download the nomination form here; then follow the mailing instructions.

In Solidarity,
The MSEA-SEIU Retirees Steering Committee
