Nominations please: 2023 MSEA-SEIU Lifetime Achievement Award
File photo: MSEA-SEIU past president and Retirees Steering Committee Chair Ginette Rivard presented our 2022 MSEA-SEIU Lifetime Achievement Award to MSEA-SEIU Androscoggin Valley Retirees Chapter Member Ben Conant during our 2022 Annual Meeting. Ben died Nov. 22, 2022. He had worked nearly 50 years in law enforcement for the State of Maine and Oxford County.
We’re accepting nominations through Sept. 29, 2023, for our 2023 MSEA-SEIU Lifetime Achievement Award. The members of the MSEA-SEIU Retirees Steering Committee plan to present the award at our 2023 Annual Meeting.
The MSEA-SEIU Lifetime Achievement Award is for retiree members. Anyone can nominate a retiree member for it. Use our online nomination form to nominate a retiree whom you think might be deserving of this award. These factors, in no particular order, will be considered in selecting the award recipients:
- Living Person;
- Active in being a leader;
- During their work years, showed leadership in support of working families and retirees;
- Advocates for MSEA-SEIU retirees through the political process;
- Promotes spirit of retirees;
- Supports the MSEA-SEIU retiree agenda;
- Community Involvement.
Completed nominations should address some of the criteria above as we don’t know what all retirees have done to contribute. Once the deadline has passed, a subcommittee will look over the nominations, score them and select a recipient. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29.
If you prefer to print out the nomination form and U.S.-mail in your nomination, you can download the form here; then follow the mailing instructions.
In Solidarity,
The MSEA-SEIU Retirees Steering Committee
